CVS - Oct 19

Total OOP = 3.29

Mini Oreos - 2.50
Mini Teddy Grahams - 2.50
Scrubbing Bubbles - 2 for 5.00
GUM Toothbrushes - 2 for 7.98 FREE after ECB
Candy Corn - 2 for 2.58 FREE after ECB
Glow Lights - 2 for 1.98 FREE after ECB
4 cans of soup BIGI - 4 for 5.98

I had $2.5o in coupons (scrubbing bubbles and soup), and used $24 ECBs, but only paid $3.29 out of pocket. ECBs earned 12.54. Sooo, I lost about $12 ECBs, but for all that stuff, it's pretty good. There are some other FREE after ECB deals, but it's stuff I don't need...pumpkin pails and just a touch of gray men's haircolor. :-)

Shopping - 9/14

Walgreens!

I don't feel like listing the details, but the overall outcome of this trip is...
Total before gift card = 62.03
Gift card from last month's easysaver = (23.94)
Total OOP = 38.09

I will be getting a gift card from Walgreens for $44.59! I bought most of the free after rebate items, and used coupons for a few, so I made a few bucks. :-)

CVS!

Didn't get much at CVS, but paper towels were on my must get list this week! I was down to one roll and we go through a roll every few days.
Details:

Wyler singles (like crystal light) sale = .49
Scott towels sale = 5.29
2 Purex sale = 5.98
Excedrin sale = 3.99

Total before coupons and ECBs = 15.90
Coupons (only had one for Purex
b/c I sent the excedrin one I had
in the coupon train I'm in! =( ) (1.00)

ECBs (13.47)
Total OOP 1.43

ECBs earned for excedrin and Purex 5.99

Lost some ECBs, but I needed those paper towels...and the Purex will come in handy also!

I passed!

I passed one part of the CPA exam! I'm studying for auditing now and it's not going as well as regulation did. It seems like there will be a lot more memorization and I'm not good at that!! But I'm really excited that I made an 83 on the test, so I just had to share with my 2 blog readers!

Steals and Deals!

Photobucket

Today was a greeaaat day! I've been so busy studying for the CPA exam, so I haven't really had time to figure out deals and such for CVS and other stores. Last night, before I went to bed, I looked at the ads and my coupons and figured some deals out. And then I also had a nice surprise at Winn-Dixie. I'm separating them into several posts...so see below.

1st up - Walgreens

After rebates, I got all this for $6.76!

Here's a short breakdown:

Total before coupons and rebates - 35.33
Less coupons - (6.90)
Less rebates - (21.76)
Total = 6.76!

I'm excited about it. Plus, I'm going to get the rebates on a giftcard, so they add 10% back...so I'll really be getting a rebate of $23.94.

Winn Dixie

These 3 shampoo/conditioners = approximately $3
Small breakdown-
Herbal Essences - 2/$5 - $2 coupon = $3
Pert Plus - 3.99? - full rebate = $0

Also, a catalina printed out for $10 off my next purchase of $50. I will definitely be using this..hope the sales are good next week!!Photobucket

Last, but certainly NOT least: CVS!!

OOP = $2.21 (The other stores have rebates, so you pay up front...but I heart CVS the most, because you don't have to pay actual cash up front, you can use the ECBs right away!)

Since I love CVS, I'm going to show a detail of the items...I needed the cortisone for my leg, so that wasn't a deal or anything, but I still paid less OOP that the stuff actually costs..haha.

Ban deodorant = 1.99
Alavert 15ct. = 5.99
CVS lipbalm = .99
Lamasilk = 9.99
Lamasil = 7.99
Cortisone cream = 3.99

Beginning Total w/tax = 31.99
Coupons used = (12.99)
ECBs used = (16.79)
Total OOP = 2.21

ECBs earned = $13.00

I also got CRTs for $2.50 off Nuprin (what is that?) and $1 off biore. Cool! I never get CRTs!

no cvs today...

I didn't go to CVS today. There are a few things I want to pick up, but there was nothing that I HAVE to have, so I'll just go during the week. And the coupons are majorly bad this week. What did I do today?

-Cleaned the garage...this includes using the blower!
-Cleaned the house
-Finished up my week long babysitting session...(Bubbles the hamster)
-Baked some muffins
-Ate supper at my parents' house

update

I haven't been keeping up with posting pictures and deals. Getting lazy I guess...still doing the deals, and taking the pics, but I don't feel like looking at the receipts right now. I did get some great stuff at Albertson's tonight though, and I want to share that! 6 boxes of cereal for $10, less $3 in coupons = 6/$7!! I was very excited...3 boxes of Trix and 3 boxes of Cookie Crisps. We like our sugar around here ;-) While I was there, I also picked up two boxes of pop-tarts (big box) and one half gallon of milk. The pop-tarts were for 2/$5 and for buying that, I got $2 off the milk! Haha, so my milk was only 89 cents. I love when I see deals like that. But actually, it wasn't advertised anywhere in the store. It was only in the sales flyer...they did strategically place the pop-tart display near the milk though. Ok off to bed for me!

CVS - sure and tampons..

I don't think I'll ever pay full price for tampons again...thanks to CVS! I don't need to buy them again until they're dirt cheap, because well, I've been getting them dirt cheap for the past month. I now have enough for about 4 months! As a woman, this is exciting..LOL.

CVS - Olay deal!

This was great...I don't need shower gel or face cleaner, but these are things that I can give away if a birthday creeps up on me. Well, Asa decided when I got back with this that he wanted to use the shower gel, but that's ok because I do like it. Here's how it happened:

1 - Olay ribbons shower - 5.99

CVS July 4th

Had a $4/$20 coupon that I needed to use today! Sooo, because there wasn't anything that I really wanted from the weekly deals (and the store didn't have the monthly deals labeled, nor did they have the monthly book?!), I had to find some things to make my total at least $20. So I walked around the store looking for clearance items..and then also bought milk and bread. I only live with my boyfriend, so these two half gallons will last us 2 weeks..the date on both of them is July 17th! Exciting! Ok here's what I got:

2 - chex mix - $3.00
1 - listerine - 2.99
1 - OB tampons - 4.49
1 - DexatrimMax2 - 3.75 (clearance from 14.99!!)
1 - nemo chapstick pack - .75 (clearance from 2.99)
2 - airwick - 1.84
1 - bread - 2.79
2 - milk - 5.38
2 - buddies bars - 1.98
1 - pop tarts - 2.49

Total w/tax before ECBs and coupons 29.98
Coupons (ob, chex, cvs, buddies) (9.48)
ECBs (10.00)
Total OOP 10.50

Earned 1.50 from the OB and 4.00 from spring spending.

Overall, I feel like I did pretty good for getting the milk and bread. I also finally got to try the Dexatrim, which I would never pay over $4 for...I've seen this stuff for about $10 on sale before, but dang, that's a lot!

Soda....

I looovvveeee soda! A bit too much. I was drinking..ohh, maybe 80 oz of the stuff a day (at least it was the diet kind!) But I've also been having major headaches lately. I've been seeing the chiropractor and massage therapist and they both say my head is sooo tense. My wonderful boyfriend decided that maybe I should just try drinking water. And guess what - I feel about 70% better. Amazing! My head feels less tense (it's still tense, but I'm stressed about work lately, among other things). But anyway, I'm dying for a diet dr. pepper right now...it is sooo hard to resist. I'm sipping on my water though...

CVS - geez!

I forgot to write about my CVS weekend!! Well, it wasn't too special...I did the Lifesavers deal, with the BOGO coupon. The cashier never questioned it, but I'm reading on a couple blogs that it YMMV. This was the the Moss and Pont De Mouton CVS though, so I wouldn't expect those nice cashiers to be rude. Anya wasn't there, but it was the other nice girl...I keep forgetting her name! What else did I get? Well, I did the swiffer deal, because I needed swiffer dusters and I had a $1 off coupon. I also got the bottled water because I'm not drinking soda anymore. See my next blog about that drama! And I got the PF mascara and Garnier eye thing w/a coupon. I can't wait to go back...I've been looking at the July ECB book for a few days now and there are a few things I want in there.

Because I am a big nerd, I'll post about my groceries too!

Total OOP for the above (plus 2 boxes of gogurt yogurt) was $28.66. Plus, I got a $25 gift card because I transferred a prescription to the pharmacy...so net of 3.66!! Woohoo! I didn't use the gift card because I wanted to save it for next weeks groceries.

What did I get?

2 boxes - hamburger helper
2 boxes - tuna helper
2 boxes - chicken helper
milk - half gallon
2 cans - albacore tuna (mmm)
2 boxes - 12 minute maid juice bars (mmm again)

June 15 - Girl stuff!!

I've saved over $44 so far this month using coupons...and this does not include CVS's ECBs. I need to add that up also, but since all I do with them is roll them into other things, it doesn't really make since to add them up. As I'm learning though, I realize the mistakes I'm making. I need to make my transactions smaller. Even the cashiers at CVS are teaching me how to use separate transactions. They know good customer service! Hopefully these cashiers will stay at CVS and they won't be replaced with some from the Northside Walmart...I would not be happy. Anyway, on to my purchases. (I must note that, had I used seperate transactions, I would have come out with fewer ECBs in the end, but also spent less...I'm learning!)

What did I get?

2 Olay foaming face cleaners
2 packs of Olay cloth cleaners
2 Oral B power toothbrushes (these ended up being freee)
1 johnsons bath soap (this was freeee, again)
1 almay mascara
1 ban deodorant
1 - 8 pack Scott paper towels

(yes, CVS is overpriced if you don't use coupons and ECBs)

Total before coupons and ECBs = 50.34
Coupons used = (9.73)
ECBs used = (12.00)

Total OOP = 28.61
ECBs earned = 21.00!!
I also got a few random coupons that printed at the bottom of my receipt for $2 off toothpaste and $1 off any lotion. I'll be using those eventually. Too bad I couldn't get the one my mom got, $25 for a transferred or new prescription. I've been waiting for one like this since I started shopping at CVS. Hopefully I'll get it sooon.

I needed a good deal on face cleaners so that I could stock up. I already had 7 toothbrushes, but free = Laci will buy. And these are good toothbrushes! I plan on going back this week and using some of my ECBs to do another deal on those toothbrushes. If they're out of stock, I'll just wait till next week. If I give you toiletries for Christmas, do not be mad at me (Jenee!)..LOL.
