CVS June 22...this is looong

I paid $13.39 for allll of that! Woohoo!

I did 3 seperate transactions, so I'll list the items separately with their own pics below. I'm obsessed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Transaction #1 - my favorite CVS (Moss and Pont de Mouton). Anya is sooo nice.

I got:

2 - All Small and Mighty(Buy1Get1)
1 - 8 pk Bouty Basics
1 - 12 pk Charmin Ultrasoft
2 - 8 pks AA Batteries

Total before coupons = 35.88
Coupons = (2.25)
Buy1Get1 = (6.49)
ECBs used = (18.00)

Total OOP = 9.14
ECBs earned = 10.00

I rolled those 10.00 to the next transaction.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Transaction #2 (Also at my favorite CVS)

I got:

10 soy joy bars
1 glade air freshener

Total before coupons = 11.01
Coupons = (0.99)
ECBs used = (10.00)

Total OOP = 0.02
ECBs earned = 8.00

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Transaction #3 (I went to the CVS down the street, because I felt like I bought enough Soy Joys and wanted to leave some for everyone else.)

I got:

1 glade air freshener
1 colgate toothpaste
1 - 36 box playtex
1 huggies body wash
6 soy joy bars

Total before coupons = 21.70
Coupons = (3.50)
ECBs used = (13.97)

Total OOP = 4.23
ECBs earned = 10.00

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need to go back later in the week to get 2 more soy joys on each card to finish out the 4 ECBs back on each card. Don't let me forget! But I like to go to CVS at least once during the week, so as long as they're not out of the soy joys, I will get 8 ECBs for next week (along with what I already have!)

Winn Dixie - June 20th

Because I am a big nerd, I'll post about my groceries too!

Total OOP for the above (plus 2 boxes of gogurt yogurt) was $28.66. Plus, I got a $25 gift card because I transferred a prescription to the pharmacy...so net of 3.66!! Woohoo! I didn't use the gift card because I wanted to save it for next weeks groceries.

What did I get?

2 boxes - hamburger helper
2 boxes - tuna helper
2 boxes - chicken helper
milk - half gallon
2 cans - albacore tuna (mmm)
2 boxes - 12 minute maid juice bars (mmm again)
2 boxes - 8 gogurt yogurt - I FORGOT to put these in the pic!
5 - 12 packs diet chek drinks

Total if I wouldn't have been watching sales and using coupons = 44.81
Coupons used ( 3.75)
Sales on the helpers, tuna, juice bars, milk and drinks (12.40)
Total OOP = 28.66

CVS June 20th..less than $2!

That's a full size Oust! I checked the price at Target before buying at CVS, but CVS was cheaper, plus I had a coupon, soooo..here's what I got

Oust Surface and Air
500 cotton swabs
Red zone body wash (travel size)
Satin Care shaving cream (travel size)

June 15 - Girl stuff!!

I've saved over $44 so far this month using coupons...and this does not include CVS's ECBs. I need to add that up also, but since all I do with them is roll them into other things, it doesn't really make since to add them up. As I'm learning though, I realize the mistakes I'm making. I need to make my transactions smaller. Even the cashiers at CVS are teaching me how to use separate transactions. They know good customer service! Hopefully these cashiers will stay at CVS and they won't be replaced with some from the Northside Walmart...I would not be happy. Anyway, on to my purchases. (I must note that, had I used seperate transactions, I would have come out with fewer ECBs in the end, but also spent less...I'm learning!)

What did I get?

2 Olay foaming face cleaners
2 packs of Olay cloth cleaners
2 Oral B power toothbrushes (these ended up being freee)
1 johnsons bath soap (this was freeee, again)
1 almay mascara
1 ban deodorant
1 - 8 pack Scott paper towels

(yes, CVS is overpriced if you don't use coupons and ECBs)

Total before coupons and ECBs = 50.34
Coupons used = (9.73)
ECBs used = (12.00)

Total OOP = 28.61
ECBs earned = 21.00!!
I also got a few random coupons that printed at the bottom of my receipt for $2 off toothpaste and $1 off any lotion. I'll be using those eventually. Too bad I couldn't get the one my mom got, $25 for a transferred or new prescription. I've been waiting for one like this since I started shopping at CVS. Hopefully I'll get it sooon.

I needed a good deal on face cleaners so that I could stock up. I already had 7 toothbrushes, but free = Laci will buy. And these are good toothbrushes! I plan on going back this week and using some of my ECBs to do another deal on those toothbrushes. If they're out of stock, I'll just wait till next week. If I give you toiletries for Christmas, do not be mad at me (Jenee!)..LOL.

June 14th - #2

I paid NOTHING for these items, and earned $7 ECBs. Hopefully next week I can find girly deals...although I will be using the razor, shaving cream and soap, even though they are for men and kids.

Items included:
Brut deodarant spray
Gillette Fusion razor w/2 refills
Gillette Fusion shaving cream
Johnson's bath buddy soap

Total before coupons and ECBs = 17.46
Coupons used (I had some good ones!!) = (7.49)
ECBs used = (10.00)
Total OOP = --0--

I lost 3 cents, but because I basically owed nothing, they couldn't tax it...LOL.

I also earned $7 ECBs, so basically, they paid me 7 bucks to take this stuff out of the store. How awesome is that?

June 14th - #1

I went to CVS twice today. Once with my mom, because I wanted her to buy the Listerine mouthwash for me (she got her ECBs, so it was really free for her, but I already reached my limit!). On the first trip, this is what I got:
Huggies Natural Care body wash - 15 oz.
2 fathers day cards
Total before coupons and ECB = 8.75
Coupons Used = (1.00)
ECBs Used = (5.00)
Total OOP (which is pretty
much the cost for one card) = 2.75

ECBs earned = 2.00

CVS June 8

In the picture:
1 - Very happy dog who thinks that box of Whoppers is his =)
1 - 12pack Scott TP (you can barely see it!),
8 movie box candies,
2 packs hershey's miniatures (got the wrong size, but I like to put these in my office for other people to socialize with me, LOL),
4 - 12pks diet coke,
2 boxes fiber one bars,
4 boxes cereal,
3 soyjoy bars,
1 biore face cleaner

Too much out of pocket cash, but I did earn $18 ECBs, so it was a net of $9.28 for the items above. TP was only 5.99 for the 12 pack, so I had to buy that, even though I have 6 rolls from the last time it was 5.99. And I've been wanting to try those Soy Joy bars... I had a coupon for buy 2 get 1 free. They're usually 1.29 or more, so when I saw that they were $1, I had to go for it. Also, I only bought one Biore item. It was the clearance face wash...if I like it, I'm going to go back and get more for the buy $20, get $10, making my total Biore $10. If I don't like it, well I'll just use the bottle and not buy it again. It smells nice though.

Total before coupons = 60.22
Coupons used = (3.00)
ECBs used = (29.94)

Total OOP = 27.28
ECBs earned = 18.00

CVS Deals for the week

Part 1:

The total I paid out of pocket for this = $10.16!! Awesome considering those cover girl powders are usually over $6 each...I got two! And I really needed those swiffer refills...I was down to my last one.

Ok so...
Total before coupons = 48.09
Coupons used = (2.00)
ECBs used = (35.93)
Total OOP = 10.16

ECBs earned = 22.46

Exciting!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 2:

I really wanted to take advantage of the 66 cent solid white albacore tuna, because that is a gooood and delicious deal!
So I went back this morning and bought more stuff. Total out of pocket for this was $5.21. That means I only spent a little over $15 at CVS this week and got lots of great, much needed items.

Ok so...
Total before coupons = 19.44
Coupons used = (1.25)
ECBs used = (12.98)
Total OOP = 5.21

ECBs earned = 13.48

I can't wait until I learn how to use the CVS deals to my full advantage, but right now, I'm happy with what I got.

Intro.

For the month of May, I recorded alllll of my purchases, bills, money spent on gifts, groceries, gas, EVERYTHING! I didn't stick to a budget or anything because this was my first month...the month for me to see where all my money is going. It was not good. Now I know where my weaknesses are, and I'm going to start watching that for sure. The whole point of this it trying to save money so that I can go back to school. That's all I'm going to say about it right now, because I'm a very impatient person. The more I think about it, the more unhappy I get that it will take me so long to get back there. But anyway...I guess this will be a place for me to talk about my deals, and other stuff.
